What are my responsibilities as an Independent flooring inspector?
My responsibilities include; 1. Systematically gathering data pertinent to the flooring concern. 2. Conducting thorough tests around the concerns, using industry-standard methods. 3. Meticulously recording all findings to ensure a transparent and traceable process. 4. Obtain physical samples when necessary to support analysis. 5. Retreating to analyze the collected data with a focus on the products spec and performance. 6. Compiling and submitting a complete report to the commissioning party.
Important information
1. Advice Restrictions; I can only give advice on installation, maintenance,or repairs if instructed by the commissioning party. 2. Confidentiality; I cannot reveal or discuss findings with anyone other than the commissioning party. 3. Neutrality; I am a neutral third party inspector and not involved in the final decision. 4. Report Submission; My report is sent only to the commissioning party, who makes decisions based on the warranty.
Timing
I am not informed of the results of my inspection, but typically decisions can take up to 2-3 weeks, please reach out directly to the party whom you filed your claim with for updates.
